I'm not too worried about "worth" or resale value. I love my miniatures and don't consider them a saleable commodity, although certainly it's every player's right to sell them. (In fact, I should head over to the trade forum to see if anyone is selling a Bone Dragon or a Mallyx or a... Yeah, it's like Pokemon -- I gotta catch 'em all! )

Zappa: Sinto. Perhaps Portugal will get on the list; I know that they are still talking to media partners about placement.

tweedledumb: Oooooh, yes, a Djinn miniature! Tasty!
Darn Gaile... now we got even more questions... omgosh! are we getting a Djinn minipet? When? Howmuch should we sell it?

Ou.. and the Netherlands still hasnt gotten a magazine support... neither do we have an own district. (put all dutch 9-year olds shouting abusive words in their own district, makes GW a happy place)

Gotta catch em all - no... that sounds better when referring to Avatars.

It is from the buyers point of view, exactly the same as buying online gwmoney. Ok, this time it is not illegal and Anet gets the money from it (indirectly). But it is lame-wise the same. Especially if you do it for like 30kish amounts. You can also spend 1-2 hrs trying to figure out a way to make money of something you can kill easily solo (aka farming, whatever), since most places can net you 10-20k per hour, youll get that amount easily. There are loads of premade farms on this site to make it even easier. Or just pop all the Treasure chest you can find, which is 20-30 free platinum and only takes 30 minutes. Or: dont spend all your money on useless stuff, eg. dont buy a new armor in every town, dont max ur heroes with stuff, just give them crap stuff. Most of my heroes run around in unsigd, unruned armor with their starter weps. Still I use them every time and just because of their skillset, they are incredibly strong. Weps aint all that, its skills and skillz (from player).

Anyway, going a bit off my own topic; couldnt resist checking online market store for minipets, which i didnt find. But I did find the 1-millionst edition of GW-upgrade for 4,99. Check what you can get: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Guild_Wars_%2706_Edition

Maybe I'm just slow or this was added when I was hibernating in my cave, but I haven't seen this before, neither an announcement on the main site. Hmm sounds like bad advertising in that case.

Neways, sadly a lot of people can still not buy online stuff, since it always requires a credit-card (at least in holland, but its different to other countries perhaps). Now about at the end of last summer, there was an improvement on this subject more or less promised. Anyway, Anet said there was being worked on, but apparently nothing has changed yet.

(since im advertising the 1-million edition, id like to have 10% of the improvement in sales, made on this upgrade)

I remember seeing in another thread the way to get the USA issue if it is not available in your country - order it direct as a backissue after April 3rd.

Here is the link to the PCGamer.com customer service FAQ which explains how to do it. http://www.pcgamer.com/faq.html

You can order multiple copies.

I second this. It is a sign of bad taste and supports this fatal error in style of the art team that supposedly shall cater to Asian tastes.

Then again, anet is aware that minipets are always subject to personal tastes and the are at least some people that like the pet. Plus the various Pokemon-trainers out there.

Honestly, why would you care what they sell for? Does everything have to be expensive or something?

If you want it, get the magazine or try your luck buying it from players...if you don't want it then don't.

I bought the grey giant for 10k cause I missed the magazine...the one thing that saves you a lot of money is patience. The Varesh mini is green and never sold for 100k anyway.

And it really is personal...I never really liked the way the bone dragon looked for example. Instead of being a fierce undead creature it looks like a dead limp chicken looking for grains it can no longer pick...you wanna pay 100k + xx ecto's, be my guest.

I see 3 groups of people largely when it comes to mini's...those who get pets because they like em, those who get them cause they wanna show of that they have something ultra rare that you don't and those who wanna get the rare ones so they can sell em to group no 2. So please keep the nice looking mini's less rare...then everybody is happy ;-)

Gotta catch em all... I so wish there was some kind of minipet storage that could serve as display case/zoo too. So that you can see which one you're missing or just parade them

Lol seen the first trying to sell for 100+ 40 ectos. If he sells it, someone should get shot. On the other hand he might just have been selling nothing.

Totally agree. Since Guild Wars is ending (as we know it), I went ahead and spent all my money on the Kuunivang mini-pet I missed when I bought the REG Faction (my only non-CE).

I am now one happy camper! One thing about seeing the end of a era, is there's no reason to save that Gold anymore! Carpe diem!

Hehe....I constantly spend my cash on things. Carpe diem is the way to go, but emm....GW2 will be out in roughly 2 years or so. That means we're about half way and GW1 will not disappear then....besides I have protector titles to get for all my 12 characters for the hall of monuments. I am in no way looking at the end of GW1 from where I am sitting.

Its another mini pet to add to my collection of 26 so far. Just gotta get the Asura on Apr 3rd and a Ghostly Hero and I'm done until they release more.

I've always been annoyed with people who try to tell others "oh that's not worth that" or "why are you charging so much" etc. People can try to sell and buy things for what they want. They might not get it but they can still attempt it.

Lol apparently some people want to pay 100k + 50 ectos for a minipet that is exclusive for 1 week. Because some people got the magazine earlier then others.

i offer 50k to the first person to trade me an asura mini pet.

it will be worth next to nothing in a week, when everyone else gets the magazine....but i am too cheap, too lazy to go to the bookstore to get it....and my girlfriend is busting my balls looking for one.

pm me ingame if u want the 50k. dont pm me asking for more, cuz you wont get it.

Typically, but not always, these promo issues are issues that have been returned unsold to the magazine. Basically, they're back issues. In order for you to get the minipet, you'd have to ask for the magazine after the may issue was returned.

Assuming there will be any unsold copies.

You can get back issues by calling a number listed in this faq (under "Q - How can I purchase back issues?"): http://pcgamer.com/faq.html

Be very specific about the magazine and the issue month and number as this service handles a number of different publications.

I missed the Nightfall issue of PC Gamer with the Gray Giant and was able to order it through them last month. I bought two copies -- one pet for me, and one for my daughter's account! I don't know if these issues were unsold copies pulled from the shelves, but they were wrapped in plastic anyway so it's unlikely the keys would have been stolen while sitting on the newstand. One of the mini-pet keys didn't work, but PC Gamer's support line was able to exchange it for a new one.

So assuming they aren't sold out, if you're reading this thread several months from now you can still get your Asura.

As for me, I think the little creature is darn cute! Of course I also think the bone dragon is cute. I've had to buy an extra character slot to act as a zookeeper!

I had the mini asura in pre searing, my opinion is that its very cute. Any item in this game can be worth varied xxx? gold to any player it all depends on the buyers need/greed as well as availability obviously.

I had my mini pet for about 3 hours, I sold it for 250k post money. The buyer was happy to pay that and I am now able to kit out a few characters in a chioce of armour and weapons. I know if I want another I can wait for the mag to come out in the UK and buy it as previously planned, not for the mini but to read the gw article.

The buyer obviusly thought it was worth 250k to them, i did have another offer of 280k with a mix of pre/post money. This was just another one of those instances of being in the right place at the right time.

I like its looks. I don't like people complaining about it. There are plenty of other important things GW needs like actual skill balance, balanced maps. You don't even need to buy the Asura or use that race in GW2. This world is full of choices. I wonder about people's stupidity not to be able to make choices.

I got my magazine yesterday and sold my Asura for 100K. Took me about 15 minutes to sell it. I get the last laugh at people who said I'd never sell it for what I was asking.
